  • How to add Acf Button Field in Wordpress

Generates a nice button/link to an external url or an internal post type, similar to the page_link field but allows you to override the link text.

Noted That:

  • To install correctly this acf-button-field.zip.
  • Fisrt Download the acf-button-field.zip to your computer
  • Extract/Open acf-button-field.zip to Your Computer.
  • Then, Find readme.txt file inside acf-button-field.zip and Open readme.txt.
  • Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
  • Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Start the Tips:

1. First Download "acf-button-field.zip" Plugin to your Local Computer. (Click Download)

2. Then, Login to your "yourdomain.com/wp-admin" Dashboard.

3. Then, Click on "Plugins" + "Add New" from left sidemenu of Dashboard.

4. Now, Click on "Upload Plugin" button.

5. Now, Browse "acf-button-field.zip" Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded acf-button-field.zip According to Step – 1 Above then, click on "Install Now"

6. Now, Click on "Active Plugin"

7. Then, See left sidemenu. "Advanced Custom Fields: Button Field" folder is added on left sidemenu. Now, Click on "Advanced Custom Fields: Button Field" folder.

   Noted that: If you do not see "Advanced Custom Fields: Button Field" folder on left sidemenu then, see at left sidemenu "Settings" or "Tools".

8. Now you configure yourself oR Watch video tutorial below about Advanced Custom Fields: Button Field Configurtions and Settings or How to work "Advanced Custom Fields: Button Field" in your WordPress site.

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

  1. Go to "Plugins" + "Installed Plugin" from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
  2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
  3. Then, Find "Advanced Custom Fields: Button Field" Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
  4. Then, Click on "Settings" from Plugin that is Advanced Custom Fields: Button Field
  5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on "Save Changes" button,

Guide

This add-on can be treated as both a WP plugin and a theme include.

Plugin

  1. Copy the ‘acf-button’ folder into your plugins folder
  2. Activate the plugin via the Plugins admin page

Theme Include

  1. Copy the ‘acf-button’ folder into your theme folder (can use sub folders). You can place the folder anywhere inside the ‘wp-content’ directory

  2. Edit your functions.php file and add the code below (Make sure the path is correct to include the acf-button.php file)

    add_action(‘acf/register_fields’, ‘my_register_fields’);

    function my_register_fields()
    {
    include_once(‘acf-button/acf-button.php’);
    }
