Always opens up a specific page or post in HTML mode to preserve HTML code. Wordpress Tutorial

Noted That:

  • To install correctly this always-edit-in-html.zip .
  • Fisrt Download the always-edit-in-html.zip to your computer
  • Extract/Open always-edit-in-html.zip to Your Computer.
  • Then, Find readme.txt file inside always-edit-in-html.zip and Open readme.txt .
  • Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
  • Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Start the Tips:

1. First Download " always-edit-in-html.zip " Plugin to your Local Computer. (Click Download)

2. Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

3. Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left sidemenu of Dashboard.

4. Now, Click on "Upload Plugin" button.

5. Now, Browse " always-edit-in-html.zip "  Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded always-edit-in-html.zip According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now"

6. Now, Click on " Active Plugin"

7. Then, See left sidemenu. " Always Edit In HTML " folder is added on left sidemenu. Now, Click on " Always Edit In HTML " folder.

   Noted that: If you do not see " Always Edit In HTML " folder on left sidemenu then, see at left sidemenu " Settings " or " Tools ".

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

  1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
  2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
  3. Then, Find " Always Edit In HTML " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
  4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is Always Edit In HTML
  5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

Guide
  1. Download the plugin zip file & unzip it
  2. Copy the folder always-edit-in-html into the directory /wp-content/plugins/
  3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

Open up a page, post or publicly declared custom post type and you will now see the “Always Edit In HTML” option box on the right column.

Check the option and save.

Next time you open the same page or post it will open up in HTML mode, removing the “Visual” and “Text” tabs.

Uncheck the option at any time to get the “Visual” and “Text” buttons and default opening behaviour back.
