Plugin generated a list of links to AMP articles from the same category, to be implemented into your AMP template. Wordpress Tutorial

Noted That:

  • To install correctly this amp-related-posts.zip .
  • Fisrt Download the amp-related-posts.zip to your computer
  • Extract/Open amp-related-posts.zip to Your Computer.
  • Then, Find readme.txt file inside amp-related-posts.zip and Open readme.txt .
  • Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
  • Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Start the Tips:

1. First Download " amp-related-posts.zip " Plugin to your Local Computer. (Click Download)

2. Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

3. Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left sidemenu of Dashboard.

4. Now, Click on "Upload Plugin" button.

5. Now, Browse " amp-related-posts.zip "  Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded amp-related-posts.zip According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now"

6. Now, Click on " Active Plugin"

7. Then, See left sidemenu. " AMP Related Posts " folder is added on left sidemenu. Now, Click on " AMP Related Posts " folder.

   Noted that: If you do not see " AMP Related Posts " folder on left sidemenu then, see at left sidemenu " Settings " or " Tools ".

8. Now you configure yourself oR Watch video tutorial below about  AMP Related Posts Configurtions and Settings or How to work " AMP Related Posts " in your WordPress site.

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

  1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
  2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
  3. Then, Find " AMP Related Posts " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
  4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is AMP Related Posts
  5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

Using the AMP plugin by Automattic

  1. Upload and activate plugin
  2. Visit the plugin options page and set your preferences!

Using shortcode

  1. Upload and activate plugin
  2. Place this code in your AMP template:

Shortcode: Customizing the display of the AMP Related Posts plugin:

  • append=’amp’ change the endpoint to suit your own. Depending on which AMP plugin you are using you can adjust the slug to direct to the AMP articles, standard: ‘amp’ (appropriate for the AMP plugin by Automattic).

Example: append=’amp-post’ will generate a slug ‘yourwebsite.nl/post/ amp-post /’

  • heading=’Related Posts’ will add an H3 heading, standard: none

  • max=’5? will set a limit to the amount of posts displayed:, standard: 10

Depreciated and backwards compatibility

If you are using the AMP plugin by Automattic you might have used a custom hook to implement the code in your theme’s functions.php file. Since the 2.0 update this can now be handled by the plugin setting on the options page. If you wish to keep using the hook please update it like so:
