  • How to add Attachment Slug in Wordpress

Enables WordPress to allow attachments to have their own permalink structure.

Noted That:

  • To install correctly this attachment-slug.zip.
  • Fisrt Download the attachment-slug.zip to your computer
  • Extract/Open attachment-slug.zip to Your Computer.
  • Then, Find readme.txt file inside attachment-slug.zip and Open readme.txt.
  • Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
  • Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Start the Tips:

1. First Download "attachment-slug.zip" Plugin to your Local Computer. (Click Download)

2. Then, Login to your "yourdomain.com/wp-admin" Dashboard.

3. Then, Click on "Plugins" + "Add New" from left sidemenu of Dashboard.

4. Now, Click on "Upload Plugin" button.

5. Now, Browse "attachment-slug.zip" Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded attachment-slug.zip According to Step – 1 Above then, click on "Install Now"

6. Now, Click on "Active Plugin"

7. Then, See left sidemenu. "Attachment Slugs for WordPress" folder is added on left sidemenu. Now, Click on "Attachment Slugs for WordPress" folder.

   Noted that: If you do not see "Attachment Slugs for WordPress" folder on left sidemenu then, see at left sidemenu "Settings" or "Tools".

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

  1. Go to "Plugins" + "Installed Plugin" from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
  2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
  3. Then, Find "Attachment Slugs for WordPress" Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
  4. Then, Click on "Settings" from Plugin that is Attachment Slugs for WordPress
  5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on "Save Changes" button,

Guide

Installing “Attachment Slug” can be done either by searching for “Attachment Slug” via the “Plugins > Add New” screen in your WordPress dashboard, or by using the following steps:

  1. Download the plugin via WordPress.org
  2. Upload the ZIP file through the ‘Plugins > Add New > Upload’ screen in your WordPress dashboard.
  3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.

Setting up the Plugin

Simply go to “Settings -> Permalinks” page and then at the bottom configure the attachment permalink to your liking and press “Save Changes”. That’s it!

Upgrading

Automatic updates should work like a charm; as always though, ensure you backup your site just in case.
