CMB2 Taxonomy will create metaboxes and forms with custom fields for your taxonomies using the CMB2 API (and yes, it will blow your mind too).

Noted That:

  • To install correctly this cmb2-taxonomy.zip.
  • Fisrt Download the cmb2-taxonomy.zip to your computer
  • Extract/Open cmb2-taxonomy.zip to Your Computer.
  • Then, Find readme.txt file inside cmb2-taxonomy.zip and Open readme.txt.
  • Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
  • Then, Follow the the Tips Below.

Start the Tips:

1. First Download "cmb2-taxonomy.zip" Plugin to your Local Computer. (Click Download)

2. Then, Login to your "yourdomain.com/wp-admin" Dashboard.

3. Then, Click on "Plugins" + "Add New" from left sidemenu of Dashboard.

4. Now, Click on "Upload Plugin" button.

5. Now, Browse "cmb2-taxonomy.zip" Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded cmb2-taxonomy.zip According to Step – 1 Above then, click on "Install Now"

6. Now, Click on "Active Plugin"

7. Then, See left sidemenu. "CMB2 Taxonomy" folder is added on left sidemenu. Now, Click on "CMB2 Taxonomy" folder.

   Noted that: If you do not see "CMB2 Taxonomy" folder on left sidemenu then, see at left sidemenu "Settings" or "Tools".

8. Now you configure yourself oR Watch video tutorial below about CMB2 Taxonomy Configurtions and Settings or How to work "CMB2 Taxonomy" in your WordPress site.

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

  1. Go to "Plugins" + "Installed Plugin" from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
  2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
  3. Then, Find "CMB2 Taxonomy" Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
  4. Then, Click on "Settings" from Plugin that is CMB2 Taxonomy
  5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on "Save Changes" button,

Guide

If installing the plugin from wordpress.org:

  1. Upload the entire /cmb2-taxonomy directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate CMB2 Taxonomy through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
  3. Copy (and rename if desired) example-functions.php into to your theme or plugin’s directory.
  4. Edit to only include the fields you need and rename the functions.
  5. Profit.

Usage

This plugin adds a couple of new functions for metadata management, similar to the post_meta functions:

  • get_term_meta: Retrieves metadata for the specified term.
  • update_term_meta: Update metadata for the specified term. If no value already exists for the specified term ID and metadata key, the metadata will be added.
  • add_term_meta: Add metadata for the specified term.
  • delete_term_meta: Delete metadata for the specified term.
