How to add Disable Directory Listings in Wordpress

• To install correctly this disable-directory-listings.zip .
• Fisrt Download the disable-directory-listings.zip to your computer
• Extract/Open disable-directory-listings.zip to Your Computer.
• Then, Find readme.txt file inside disable-directory-listings.zip and Open readme.txt .
• Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
• Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Step-1 : Download " disable-directory-listings.zip " to Your Local Computer.

Step-2 : Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

Step-3 : Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left Side Menu of Dashboard.

Step-4 : Now, Click on " Upload Plugin " button.

Step-5 : Now, Browse " disable-directory-listings.zip " Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded " disable-directory-listings.zip " According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now "

Step-6 : Now, Click on " Active Plugin "

Step-7 : Then, See left Side Menu. " Disable Directory Listings " folder is added on left Side Menu. Now, Click on " Disable Directory Listings " folder.

Noted that: If you do not see " Disable Directory Listings " folder on left Side Menu then, see at left Side Menu " Settings " or " Tools ".

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
3. Then, Find " Disable Directory Listings " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is Disable Directory Listings
5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

1. Unzip disable-directory-listings.zip inside the /wp-content/plugins/ directory for your site (or install via the built-in WordPress plugin installer)
2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ admin menu in WordPress
3. Go to Settings -> Directory Listings admin options page. Optionally customize the list of directories.
4. If the plugin’s admin options page says that your .htaccess file is not writable, then you must manually update your .htaccess file with the changes it has made. Go to the Settings -> Directory Listings admin options page and follow the instructions to update your .htaccess.

Note: If your .htaccess is not writable, then you must perform step 4 when activating or deactivating the plugin, and when updating the plugin’s options. Otherwise, step 4 is not necessary.
