How to add Edd Helpscout in Wordpress

• To install correctly this edd-helpscout.zip .
• Fisrt Download the edd-helpscout.zip to your computer
• Extract/Open edd-helpscout.zip to Your Computer.
• Then, Find readme.txt file inside edd-helpscout.zip and Open readme.txt .
• Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
• Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Step-1 : Download " edd-helpscout.zip " to Your Local Computer.

Step-2 : Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

Step-3 : Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left Side Menu of Dashboard.

Step-4 : Now, Click on " Upload Plugin " button.

Step-5 : Now, Browse " edd-helpscout.zip " Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded " edd-helpscout.zip " According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now "

Step-6 : Now, Click on " Active Plugin "

Step-7 : Then, See left Side Menu. " Edd Helpscout " folder is added on left Side Menu. Now, Click on " Edd Helpscout " folder.

Noted that: If you do not see " Edd Helpscout " folder on left Side Menu then, see at left Side Menu " Settings " or " Tools ".

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
3. Then, Find " HelpScout integration for Easy Digital Downloads " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is HelpScout integration for Easy Digital Downloads
5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

To get this up an running, you’ll need to configure a few things in WordPress and HelpScout.

WordPress

1. Upload the contents of edd-helpscout.zip to your plugins directory, which usually is /wp-content/plugins/ .
2. Activate the HelpScout integration for Easy Digital Downloads plugin
3. Set the HELPSCOUT_SECRET_KEY constant in your /wp-config.php file. This should be a random string of 40 characters.

HelpScout

1. Go to the HelpScout custom app interface .
2. Enter the following settings.

App Name: Easy Digital Downloads
Content Type: Dynamic Content
Callback URL: https://your-site.com/edd-helpscout-api/customer_info (I recommend using HTTPS)
Secret Key: The value of your HELPSCOUT_SECRET_KEY constant.

Testing the plugin locally

You can set the plugin in some test mode.
Set HELPSCOUT_DUMMY_DATA to true and HELPSCOUT_DUMMY_DATA_EMAIL to an email address in wp-config.php to let the plugin use dummy data.
You can then call https://your-site.com/edd-helpscout-api/customer_info directly and get a reply based on the value of HELPSCOUT_DUMMY_DATA_EMAIL .
