How to add Geoswitch in Wordpress

• To install correctly this geoswitch.zip .
• Fisrt Download the geoswitch.zip to your computer
• Extract/Open geoswitch.zip to Your Computer.
• Then, Find readme.txt file inside geoswitch.zip and Open readme.txt .
• Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
• Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Step-1 : Download " geoswitch.zip " to Your Local Computer.

Step-2 : Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

Step-3 : Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left Side Menu of Dashboard.

Step-4 : Now, Click on " Upload Plugin " button.

Step-5 : Now, Browse " geoswitch.zip " Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded " geoswitch.zip " According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now "

Step-6 : Now, Click on " Active Plugin "

Step-7 : Then, See left Side Menu. " Geoswitch " folder is added on left Side Menu. Now, Click on " Geoswitch " folder.

Noted that: If you do not see " Geoswitch " folder on left Side Menu then, see at left Side Menu " Settings " or " Tools ".

Step-8 : Now you configure yourself oR Watch video tutorial below about Geoswitch Configurations and Settings or How to work " Geoswitch " in your WordPress site.

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
3. Then, Find " Geocode Switch " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is Geocode Switch
5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

Prerequisites

The Geoswitch plugin uses either MaxMind’s city database or webservice.

• To use a local database for geocoding you’ll need either the free GeoLite2 city database
  (download from here ) or obtain a license from MaxMind
  for a GeoIP2 citydatabase. After obtaining the database uncompress it before installation.
• To use the webservice you’ll need to obtain a user ID and license key for GeoIP2 Precision Services .

Installation

1. Copy the Plugin directory to your wordpress plugins directory (usually wp-content/plugins)
2. Optionally copy your MaxMind binary database to the database subdirectory inside the plugin root direcory (GeoSwitch/database).
   The database should be uncompressed.
3. In the WordPress administration settings search for the GeoSwitch configuration page:
4. Select the type of geocoding service to use (local database or webservice).
5. Enter the name of the database or the user ID and license key depending on the service you’ve selected.
6. Set the units to use for distance calculations (kilometer or miles).

Note: if you use the local database you should update it periodically.
