Noted That:

• To install correctly this highlight-post-widget.zip .
• Fisrt Download the highlight-post-widget.zip to your computer
• Extract/Open highlight-post-widget.zip to Your Computer.
• Then, Find readme.txt file inside highlight-post-widget.zip and Open readme.txt .
• Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
• Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Start the Tips:

1. First Download " highlight-post-widget.zip " Plugin to your Local Computer. (Click Download)

2. Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

3. Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left sidemenu of Dashboard.

4. Now, Click on "Upload Plugin" button.

5. Now, Browse " highlight-post-widget.zip "  Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded highlight-post-widget.zip According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now"

6. Now, Click on " Active Plugin"

7. Then, See left sidemenu. " Plugin Name: Highlight Post Widget " folder is added on left sidemenu. Now, Click on " Plugin Name: Highlight Post Widget " folder.

   Noted that: If you do not see " Plugin Name: Highlight Post Widget " folder on left sidemenu then, see at left sidemenu " Settings " or " Tools ".

8. Now you configure yourself oR Watch video tutorial below about  Plugin Name: Highlight Post Widget Configurtions and Settings or How to work " Plugin Name: Highlight Post Widget " in your WordPress site.

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
3. Then, Find " Plugin Name: Highlight Post Widget " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is Plugin Name: Highlight Post Widget
5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

Requirement:

I create this plugin for WordPress version 2.9.2. I never test it on lower version, but I think it should work on WordPress version 2.8 that support dynamic sidebar. Right, you also must use ‘widget ready‘ theme.

How to install this plugin manually

• Download: download the plugin to your computer
• Extract & Upload: extract the source code and upload it to your wordpress plugin directory
• Activate: login to WP-Admin and activate Highlight Post plugin from Plugins page.

Appearance/CSS:

I did not add any CSS to this plugin. By default, it will use the standard style, as same as “Recent Post” widget. Below are the hint to change the style of this widget.

Just add the code below to your style.
