How to add Link Away in Wordpress

• To install correctly this link-away.zip .
• Fisrt Download the link-away.zip to your computer
• Extract/Open link-away.zip to Your Computer.
• Then, Find readme.txt file inside link-away.zip and Open readme.txt .
• Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
• Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Step-1 : Download " link-away.zip " to Your Local Computer.

Step-2 : Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

Step-3 : Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left Side Menu of Dashboard.

Step-4 : Now, Click on " Upload Plugin " button.

Step-5 : Now, Browse " link-away.zip " Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded " link-away.zip " According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now "

Step-6 : Now, Click on " Active Plugin "

Step-7 : Then, See left Side Menu. " Link Away " folder is added on left Side Menu. Now, Click on " Link Away " folder.

Noted that: If you do not see " Link Away " folder on left Side Menu then, see at left Side Menu " Settings " or " Tools ".

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
3. Then, Find " Link Away " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is Link Away
5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

Using The WordPress Dashboard

1. Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
2. Search for ‘Link Away’
3. Click ‘Install Now’
4. Activate the plugin on the Plugin dashboard

Uploading in WordPress Dashboard

1. Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
2. Navigate to the ‘Upload’ area
3. Select link-away.zip from your computer
4. Click ‘Install Now’
5. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

Using FTP

1. Download link-away.zip
2. Extract the link-away directory to your computer
3. Upload the link-away directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
4. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

There is no settings page, just look for the Link Away settings box when editing posts. Works on regular and public custom post types.

It’s a pretty simple plugin. If you don’t want to change a post, just ignore the Link Away settings, but when you do want a post to link away, add the complete URL where you want users to go.

Optionally, you can select to have the new location open in a new window.

Click the test button and the URL will open in a small popup in case you want to verify the URL before you update the post.
