  • How to add Linkify Categories in Wordpress

Turn a string, list, or array of category IDs and/or slugs into a list of links to those categories. Provides a widget and template tag.

Noted That:

  • To install correctly this linkify-categories.zip.
  • Fisrt Download the linkify-categories.zip to your computer
  • Extract/Open linkify-categories.zip to Your Computer.
  • Then, Find readme.txt file inside linkify-categories.zip and Open readme.txt.
  • Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
  • Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Start the Tips:

1. First Download "linkify-categories.zip" Plugin to your Local Computer. (Click Download)

2. Then, Login to your "yourdomain.com/wp-admin" Dashboard.

3. Then, Click on "Plugins" + "Add New" from left sidemenu of Dashboard.

4. Now, Click on "Upload Plugin" button.

5. Now, Browse "linkify-categories.zip" Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded linkify-categories.zip According to Step – 1 Above then, click on "Install Now"

6. Now, Click on "Active Plugin"

7. Then, See left sidemenu. "Linkify Categories" folder is added on left sidemenu. Now, Click on "Linkify Categories" folder.

   Noted that: If you do not see "Linkify Categories" folder on left sidemenu then, see at left sidemenu "Settings" or "Tools".

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

  1. Go to "Plugins" + "Installed Plugin" from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
  2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
  3. Then, Find "Linkify Categories" Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
  4. Then, Click on "Settings" from Plugin that is Linkify Categories
  5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on "Save Changes" button,

Guide
  1. Install via the built-in WordPress plugin installer. Or download and unzip linkify-categories.zip inside the plugins directory for your site (typically wp-content/plugins/)
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ admin menu in WordPress
  3. Use provided widget or the c2c_linkify_categories() template tag in one of your templates (be sure to pass it at least the first argument indicating what category IDs and/or slugs to linkify — the argument can be an array, a space-separate list, or a comma-separated list). Other optional arguments are available to customize the output.
  4. Optional: Use the “Linkify Categories” widget in one of the sidebars provided by your theme.
