Spotlight (tm) like live search with an ajax popup Wordpress Tutorial

Noted That:

  • To install correctly this live-search-popup.zip .
  • Fisrt Download the live-search-popup.zip to your computer
  • Extract/Open live-search-popup.zip to Your Computer.
  • Then, Find readme.txt file inside live-search-popup.zip and Open readme.txt .
  • Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
  • Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Start the Tips:

1. First Download " live-search-popup.zip " Plugin to your Local Computer. (Click Download)

2. Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

3. Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left sidemenu of Dashboard.

4. Now, Click on "Upload Plugin" button.

5. Now, Browse " live-search-popup.zip "  Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded live-search-popup.zip According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now"

6. Now, Click on " Active Plugin"

7. Then, See left sidemenu. " Live Search Popup " folder is added on left sidemenu. Now, Click on " Live Search Popup " folder.

   Noted that: If you do not see " Live Search Popup " folder on left sidemenu then, see at left sidemenu " Settings " or " Tools ".

8. Now you configure yourself oR Watch video tutorial below about  Live Search Popup Configurtions and Settings or How to work " Live Search Popup " in your WordPress site.

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

  1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
  2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
  3. Then, Find " Live Search Popup " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
  4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is Live Search Popup
  5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

Guide
  1. Upload the entire folder named live-search-popup to wp-contents/plugins in
    your WordPress installation (IMPORTANT: Do not change its name).
  2. Login to your WordPress administration and activate the plugin.
  3. Remove the original search field (either in the theme or in the
    widget configuration screen).
  4. Two possibilities:

* Add the live-search-popup widget to the sidebar
* Or add at the place in the
theme you want the search box to appear.
* Or put below the
search box of a theme, e.g. just below the name="s" id="s"..../> line. The "100%" is the popup width. Use
e.g. "150px" for a fixed width of 150 pixels.

The search box is in a

. So to place
the search nox more precisely just set the css properties of
.livesearchpopup.
