How to add National Weather Service Alerts in Wordpress

• To install correctly this national-weather-service-alerts.zip .
• Fisrt Download the national-weather-service-alerts.zip to your computer
• Extract/Open national-weather-service-alerts.zip to Your Computer.
• Then, Find readme.txt file inside national-weather-service-alerts.zip and Open readme.txt .
• Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
• Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Step-1 : Download " national-weather-service-alerts.zip " to Your Local Computer.

Step-2 : Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

Step-3 : Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left Side Menu of Dashboard.

Step-4 : Now, Click on " Upload Plugin " button.

Step-5 : Now, Browse " national-weather-service-alerts.zip " Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded " national-weather-service-alerts.zip " According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now "

Step-6 : Now, Click on " Active Plugin "

Step-7 : Then, See left Side Menu. " National Weather Service Alerts " folder is added on left Side Menu. Now, Click on " National Weather Service Alerts " folder.

Noted that: If you do not see " National Weather Service Alerts " folder on left Side Menu then, see at left Side Menu " Settings " or " Tools ".

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
3. Then, Find " National Weather Service Alerts " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is National Weather Service Alerts
5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

1. Go to Plugins > Add New in the admin area, and search for National Weather Service Alerts.
2. Click install.
3. Once installed, activate the plugin.
4. Lastly, go to the NWS Alerts settings page and click Build Database Tables .

Note that building the database tables used for location searching can take up to a minute to complete, so please be patient.
The process is monitored via AJAX and a status bar will update you on the progress of the build process.
These tables are deleted from the database when the plugin is deactivated, and then deleted, in the WordPress admin Plugins area.

Once the plugin is installed and activated you can easily add weather alerts to your website by using the included
NWS Alerts widget or by using the [nws_alert] shortcode. The plugin adds a “National Weather Service Alerts” button
to the WordPress editor that can be used to build properly formatted nws_alert shortcodes.
