How to add Petfinder Listings in Wordpress

The Petfinder Listings plugin takes advantage of the Petfinder API and can be integrated into your site without coding. Wordpress Tutorial

Noted That:

To install correctly this petfinder-listings.zip .
Fisrt Download the petfinder-listings.zip to your computer
Extract/Open petfinder-listings.zip to Your Computer.
Then, Find readme.txt file inside petfinder-listings.zip and Open readme.txt .
Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Start the Tips:

Step-1 : Download " petfinder-listings.zip " to Your Local Computer.

Step-2 : Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

Step-3 : Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left Side Menu of Dashboard.

Step-4 : Now, Click on " Upload Plugin " button.

Step-5 : Now, Browse " petfinder-listings.zip " Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded " petfinder-listings.zip " According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now "

Step-6 : Now, Click on " Active Plugin "

Step-7 : Then, See left Side Menu. " Petfinder Listings " folder is added on left Side Menu. Now, Click on " Petfinder Listings " folder.

Noted that: If you do not see " Petfinder Listings " folder on left Side Menu then, see at left Side Menu " Settings " or " Tools ".

Step-8 : Now you configure yourself oR Watch video tutorial below about Petfinder Listings Configurations and Settings or How to work " Petfinder Listings " in your WordPress site.

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
Then, Find " Petfinder Listings " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is Petfinder Listings
Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

Upload expanded petfinder-listings folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress Set your Petfinder v2.0 API Key and Secret, Shelter Id, Thumbnail and Large image size under WordPress Settings -> Petfinder Listings. You will need to generate a free Petfinder API key on Petfinder here: http://www.petfinder.com/developers/api-key. You’ll need to create an account on Petfinder first if you don’t have one. You do not have to use your shelter’s Petfinder account to generate these keys. Your shelter ID is your Shelter’s Petfinder username, usually your state abbreviation plus a number. Place the shortcode [shelter_list] in a Page or Post content to display your pet list on a page. The lists includes all pets’ name, description and photos uploaded to Petfinder. If the list is not working after correctly entering all your Petfinder Listings Settings, make sure your Petfinder account is set up to share data through Petfinder’s API. To do this, log into your Petfinder account and click on the Organization Info tab. Look for the box labeled ‘Share Pet List’ and make sure all checkboxes within this box are selected: Please share my pet list with all third parties, Partner sites & Petfinder API users. (As of 12/1/2019, I do not know if these instructions need to be changed after Petfinder updated its interface. I do not have a shelter Petfinder account to view this information. If these instructions need to be changed, please contact me so I can update them. ) Add the Petfinder Listings Featured Pet widget (Appearance -> Widgets) if desired.

Upload expanded petfinder-listings folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress
