This plugin provides single sign-on capabilities for Discourse using WordPress user authentication.

Noted That:

  • To install correctly this pt-wp-discourse-sso.zip.
  • Fisrt Download the pt-wp-discourse-sso.zip to your computer
  • Extract/Open pt-wp-discourse-sso.zip to Your Computer.
  • Then, Find readme.txt file inside pt-wp-discourse-sso.zip and Open readme.txt.
  • Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
  • Then, Follow the the Tips Below.

Start the Tips:

1. First Download "pt-wp-discourse-sso.zip" Plugin to your Local Computer. (Click Download)

2. Then, Login to your "yourdomain.com/wp-admin" Dashboard.

3. Then, Click on "Plugins" + "Add New" from left sidemenu of Dashboard.

4. Now, Click on "Upload Plugin" button.

5. Now, Browse "pt-wp-discourse-sso.zip" Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded pt-wp-discourse-sso.zip According to Step – 1 Above then, click on "Install Now"

6. Now, Click on "Active Plugin"

7. Then, See left sidemenu. "PrimeTime WordPress + Discourse SSO" folder is added on left sidemenu. Now, Click on "PrimeTime WordPress + Discourse SSO" folder.

   Noted that: If you do not see "PrimeTime WordPress + Discourse SSO" folder on left sidemenu then, see at left sidemenu "Settings" or "Tools".

8. Now you configure yourself oR Watch video tutorial below about PrimeTime WordPress + Discourse SSO Configurtions and Settings or How to work "PrimeTime WordPress + Discourse SSO" in your WordPress site.

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

  1. Go to "Plugins" + "Installed Plugin" from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
  2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
  3. Then, Find "PrimeTime WordPress + Discourse SSO" Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
  4. Then, Click on "Settings" from Plugin that is PrimeTime WordPress + Discourse SSO
  5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on "Save Changes" button,

Guide

There are only three steps to configuring your WP + Discourse SSO!

1. Install this plugin and activate it

Uploading in WordPress Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
  2. Navigate to the ‘Upload’ area
  3. Select plugin-name.zip from your computer
  4. Click ‘Install Now’
  5. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

Using FTP

  1. Download pt-wp-discourse-sso.zip
  2. Extract the pt-wp-discourse-sso directory to your computer
  3. Upload the pt-wp-discourse-sso directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  4. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

2. Configure the plugin

Under settings, you’ll see the SSO configuration page. Add the url to your Discourse community forum. Generate a secret key that will be used to secure the authentication between the installations and paste it here.

3. Enabling SSO on Discourse

In your Discourse admin settings, find the settings labeled, enable_sso, sso_url and sso_secret. Enter the URL of your WP installation, as well as the secret key, and enable sso.
