How to add Read A Poem Month By Month in Wordpress

• To install correctly this read-a-poem-month-by-month.zip .
• Fisrt Download the read-a-poem-month-by-month.zip to your computer
• Extract/Open read-a-poem-month-by-month.zip to Your Computer.

Step-1 : Download " read-a-poem-month-by-month.zip " to Your Local Computer.

2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress

3. Add your poem in the new ‘Read a Poem’ custom post type section of the admin.

4. To display a given poem on a page/post in your site — go to the “All Poems” screen and copy the poem’s shortcode [poem id=XXX]. Paste the shortcode into your site where you want to display your poem.

5. To cycle through and display a different poem each month….

   • begin by adding 12 poems to the Read a Poem post type
   • then go to Assign to Month and designate which poem is to be displayed each month
   • Add the shortcode [poem-current] to a page

6. DEVELOPERS: include echo do_shortcode(“[poem-current]”); in the template where you want the poems to display.
