Remote Media Libraries (RML) gives you access to third parties media libraries directly from the WordPress Media Library. Wordpress Tutorial

Noted That:

  • To install correctly this remote-medias-lite.zip .
  • Fisrt Download the remote-medias-lite.zip to your computer
  • Extract/Open remote-medias-lite.zip to Your Computer.
  • Then, Find readme.txt file inside remote-medias-lite.zip and Open readme.txt .
  • Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
  • Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Start the Tips:

1. First Download " remote-medias-lite.zip " Plugin to your Local Computer. (Click Download)

2. Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

3. Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left sidemenu of Dashboard.

4. Now, Click on "Upload Plugin" button.

5. Now, Browse " remote-medias-lite.zip "  Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded remote-medias-lite.zip According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now"

6. Now, Click on " Active Plugin"

7. Then, See left sidemenu. " Remote Media Libraries " folder is added on left sidemenu. Now, Click on " Remote Media Libraries " folder.

   Noted that: If you do not see " Remote Media Libraries " folder on left sidemenu then, see at left sidemenu " Settings " or " Tools ".

8. Now you configure yourself oR Watch video tutorial below about  Remote Media Libraries Configurtions and Settings or How to work " Remote Media Libraries " in your WordPress site.

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

  1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
  2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
  3. Then, Find " Remote Media Libraries " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
  4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is Remote Media Libraries
  5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

Guide

Minimum Requirements

  • WordPress 3.5 or greater
  • PHP version 5.4 or greater
  • PHP cURL module installed

Manual installation

  1. Download the plugin file to your computer and unzip it
  2. Using an FTP program, or your hosting control panel, upload the unzipped plugin folder to your WordPress installation’s wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  3. Activate the plugin from the Plugins menu within the WordPress admin.

Configuration

  1. Go to Medias -> Remote Librairies
  2. Click Add New to Add an external medias source like Youtube, Vimeo, Dailymotion or Flickr.
  3. Insert a Title, Select the remote service you would like to query.
  4. Insert your Service reserve ID, make sure it is valid, and publish it.
  5. A new section identified by the title you entered will be added in the Media Manager for each published and valid remote library.
  6. Go to a post or page, click Add Media and select the library. The content of the remote library should be available to insert into your post.
