How to add Search With Azure in Wordpress

• To install correctly this search-with-azure.zip .
• Fisrt Download the search-with-azure.zip to your computer
• Extract/Open search-with-azure.zip to Your Computer.
• Then, Find readme.txt file inside search-with-azure.zip and Open readme.txt .
• Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
• Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Step-1 : Download " search-with-azure.zip " to Your Local Computer.

Step-2 : Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

Step-3 : Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left Side Menu of Dashboard.

Step-4 : Now, Click on " Upload Plugin " button.

Step-5 : Now, Browse " search-with-azure.zip " Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded " search-with-azure.zip " According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now "

Step-6 : Now, Click on " Active Plugin "

Step-7 : Then, See left Side Menu. " Search With Azure " folder is added on left Side Menu. Now, Click on " Search With Azure " folder.

Noted that: If you do not see " Search With Azure " folder on left Side Menu then, see at left Side Menu " Settings " or " Tools ".

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
3. Then, Find " Search with Azure " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is Search with Azure
5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

Step 1 – Create Search Service

• Go to the Azure Portal to create the Search service.
• Click the big + button at the top left and choose Data & Storage and then Search.
• Choose all the options and click Create. It will take a few minutes to create the service.

Step 2 – Install Plugin

• Login to your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > > Add New, search for search-with-azure, and click to install.
• Get the admin key and query key from the Azure Portal.
• In the WordPress dashboard go to the Settings page for the Search with Azure plugin and enter the two keys. Also enter the name of the search service and enter “posts” for the index name. Leave the Search Page ID blank for now.
• Click “Save Changes”.
• Click “Initialize Now” to load the pages and posts into the index service.

Step 3 – Create Search Results Page

• Create a page that will be the result page when performing a search. This should be a page with the shortcode [search_with_azure]
• Enter the id of this page in Search with Azure Settings.

Step 4 – Use Search Widget

• You should use the widget anywhere you would normally use the default search widget, for example the sidebar.
• You may also like to edit the theme to use the [search_with_azure] shortcode in the 404.php page.
