How to add Shibboleth in Wordpress

• To install correctly this shibboleth.zip .
• Fisrt Download the shibboleth.zip to your computer
• Extract/Open shibboleth.zip to Your Computer.
• Then, Find readme.txt file inside shibboleth.zip and Open readme.txt .
• Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
• Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Step-1 : Download " shibboleth.zip " to Your Local Computer.

Step-2 : Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

Step-3 : Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left Side Menu of Dashboard.

Step-4 : Now, Click on " Upload Plugin " button.

Step-5 : Now, Browse " shibboleth.zip " Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded " shibboleth.zip " According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now "

Step-6 : Now, Click on " Active Plugin "

Step-7 : Then, See left Side Menu. " Shibboleth " folder is added on left Side Menu. Now, Click on " Shibboleth " folder.

Noted that: If you do not see " Shibboleth " folder on left Side Menu then, see at left Side Menu " Settings " or " Tools ".

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
3. Then, Find " Shibboleth " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is Shibboleth
5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

Preface

First and foremost, this plugin requires you to have a Shibboleth Service Provider installed and functional on your web server. This can be done many ways, but that is outside the scope of this plugin. Once you’ve configured the Shibboleth Service Provider, you can proceed with installing the plugin.

This plugin supports both “lazy sessions” (where requireSession is set to false) and “required sessions” (where requireSession is set to true).

Upon activation, the plugin will attempt to set the appropriate directives in WordPress’s .htaccess file. You can prevent this from happening by defining the following wp-config.php constant:

define('SHIBBOLETH_DISALLOW_FILE_MODS', true);

Installation Process

Visit “Plugins > Add New”
Search for “Shibboleth”
Activate the Shibboleth plugin from your Plugins page.
Configure the plugin from the Shibboleth settings page.

OR

Upload the “shibboleth” folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
Activate the Shibboleth plugin from your Plugins page.
Configure the plugin from the Shibboleth settings page.

Troubleshooting

If for some reason the plugin is unable to add the appropriate directives for Shibboleth, you can add the following to your .htaccess file.
