Noted That:
  • To install correctly this social-icon-widget.zip .
  • Fisrt Download the social-icon-widget.zip to your computer
  • Extract/Open social-icon-widget.zip to Your Computer.
  • Then, Find readme.txt file inside social-icon-widget.zip and Open readme.txt .
  • Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
  • Then, Follow the Tips Below.
Start the Tips:

Step-1 : Download " social-icon-widget.zip " to Your Local Computer.

Step-2 : Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

Step-3 : Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left Side Menu of Dashboard.

Step-4 : Now, Click on " Upload Plugin " button.

Step-5 : Now, Browse " social-icon-widget.zip " Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded " social-icon-widget.zip " According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now "

Step-6 : Now, Click on " Active Plugin "

Step-7 : Then, See left Side Menu. " Social Icon Widget " folder is added on left Side Menu. Now, Click on " Social Icon Widget " folder.

Noted that: If you do not see " Social Icon Widget " folder on left Side Menu then, see at left Side Menu " Settings " or " Tools ".

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

  1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
  2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
  3. Then, Find " Social Icon Widget " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
  4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is Social Icon Widget
  5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

/// Uploading in WordPress Dashboard

  1. First download the plugin ZIP file from WordPress website
  2. Log in to your website administrator panel
  3. Go to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard, click ?Upload Plugin?
  4. Upload Social Icon Widget ZIP file by choosing it from your computer
  5. Click Install Now button
  6. Then click Activate Plugin button.
  7. You can see the Social Icon Widget in the widget section ‘Appearance > widgets’.

  1. Go to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
  2. Search for ‘Social Icon Widget’
  3. Click Install Now button
  4. Then click Activate Plugin button
  5. You can see the Social Icon Widget in the widget section ‘Appearance > widgets’.

/// Using FTP

  1. Download the ZIP file from WordPress website
  2. Extract the social icon widget directory to your computer
  3. Upload the social icon widget directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  4. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard
  5. You can see the Social Icon Widget in the widget section ‘Appearance > widgets’.

Now you can use it as a normal widget from the widget section of your WordPress dashboard. Just drag and drop the widget in any widget area and set the social profile links which you need. You do not need to use all the URL fields, if you enter a link in a URL field, only that icon will show in the front end.
