Displays the contents of a text file as a widget Wordpress Tutorial

Noted That:

  • To install correctly this text-file-widget.zip .
  • Fisrt Download the text-file-widget.zip to your computer
  • Extract/Open text-file-widget.zip to Your Computer.
  • Then, Find readme.txt file inside text-file-widget.zip and Open readme.txt .
  • Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
  • Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Start the Tips:

1. First Download " text-file-widget.zip " Plugin to your Local Computer. (Click Download)

2. Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

3. Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left sidemenu of Dashboard.

4. Now, Click on "Upload Plugin" button.

5. Now, Browse " text-file-widget.zip "  Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded text-file-widget.zip According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now"

6. Now, Click on " Active Plugin"

7. Then, See left sidemenu. " Text File Widget " folder is added on left sidemenu. Now, Click on " Text File Widget " folder.

   Noted that: If you do not see " Text File Widget " folder on left sidemenu then, see at left sidemenu " Settings " or " Tools ".

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

  1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
  2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
  3. Then, Find " Text File Widget " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
  4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is Text File Widget
  5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

Guide

There are three possibilities:

*Use the standard WordPress Plugins > “Add New” procedure (Recommended)
or

*Download the plugin file from WordPress.org and the Upload the Zip file

Add Plugin > Upload

or

*Download the plugin file from WordPress.org, then manually upload the unzipped folder (text-file-widget) into wp-content/plugins

Then

*Activate the plugin

Now there will be a \”text file widget\” in the Appearance> Widgets section. Drag this to a widget location, and tell it which file you want to display and what title to give it (or none)

You can have multiple instances displaying different files.
