How to add Wp Imap Authentication in Wordpress

• To install correctly this wp-imap-authentication.zip .
• Fisrt Download the wp-imap-authentication.zip to your computer
• Extract/Open wp-imap-authentication.zip to Your Computer.
• Then, Find readme.txt file inside wp-imap-authentication.zip and Open readme.txt .
• Now, Read the Requirements of this plugin. Which Wordpress Version and PHP Version are required to run this Plugin in Your Wordpress Site.
• Then, Follow the Tips Below.

Step-1 : Download " wp-imap-authentication.zip " to Your Local Computer.

Step-2 : Then, Login to your " yourdomain.com/wp-admin " Dashboard.

Step-3 : Then, Click on " Plugins " + " Add New " from left Side Menu of Dashboard.

Step-4 : Now, Click on " Upload Plugin " button.

Step-5 : Now, Browse " wp-imap-authentication.zip " Downloaded plugin from your computer, Where you downloaded " wp-imap-authentication.zip " According to Step – 1 Above then, click on " Install Now "

Step-6 : Now, Click on " Active Plugin "

Step-7 : Then, See left Side Menu. " Wp Imap Authentication " folder is added on left Side Menu. Now, Click on " Wp Imap Authentication " folder.

Noted that: If you do not see " Wp Imap Authentication " folder on left Side Menu then, see at left Side Menu " Settings " or " Tools ".

After Activated Plugin According to Step-6 then,

1. Go to " Plugins " + " Installed Plugin " from Wordpress Admin Panel Leftside Menu.
2. or Direct go to: https://yourdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php
3. Then, Find " WP IMAP Auth " Activated Plugin from Plugin List.
4. Then, Click on " Settings " from Plugin that is WP IMAP Auth
5. Now, Edit/Add/Config the setting and Click on " Save Changes " button,

1. Important notice : Existing user will not be able to log in after installation. Make sure you can access your WordPress database directly to make one new user to an adminsitrator.
2. Install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly and activate WP IMAP Authentication plugin.
3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress
4. Use the Settings-> IMAP Authentication screen to enter your Mailbox, e.g.: {mail.domain.com/readonly}INBOX or {mail.domain.com:993/ssl/novalidate-cert/readonly}INBOX
5. Check “Register new user automatically if succesful IMAP authentification.””
6. Log in with your email address and email password.
7. Go to your WordPress database table wp_usermeta and set wp_capabilities to a:1:{s:13:"administrator";b:1;} .
8. Now you can log in with your new account as administratior. If you want you can disable “Register new user automatically”.
9. That’s it!
